Militia Group act Lovedrug recently posted a thoughtful blog entry discussing their feelings after their new album leaked. While it's not quite as quotable as statements made by a recent platinum-selling artist, it does address the other side of the debate. The record is titled Everything Starts Where It Ends and is due out March 06, 2007.

Among the statements made are the following:

Yes, I do in fact feel that illegal downloading and cd copying is bad. The reason is simple: it damages the artist and the art. It also damages the system that we use to release our music; which to some probably seems like a good thing… you know "down with corporate" and so on.. but there is much more to it than that.
They go on to address many of the common viewpoints about downloading, specifically that it only affects labels, that music is too expensive and the "music business" itself.
